Annual session of the General Council of the IOE global membership was held in Geneva on May 29, 2022, chaired by Ms Michele Parmelee, IOE President and Chair. Within the discussion on the items on the Agenda, the present members unanimously adopted the IOE Annual Report 2021-2022 and the IOE Work plan for 2022-2023.
A Memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) late last year was also reaffirmed, aimed at boosting co-operation in shaping the debate and influencing labor migration policies. Among other items on the agenda, the withdrawal of membership of the Mongolian Employers’ Federation (MONEF) due to non-fulfillment of obligations undertaken by joining the IOE stands out.
A delegation of the Serbian Association of Employers (SAE) was led by the Secretary General of the SAE, Mr Boško Savković, who also participated in the General Council.
