Although having to change the battery maybe a little work.. But it's worth it not active like a bad ground on stage singles coil the studio.. If you over looking for a sending signal while soloing.. Active is the way for sure..
The David Dating pink-Floyd pro pickguard has the same pickups.. That's kinda why I got them over well.. Highly recommended for the guitar addic.. EMG products are a joy to install and even better to play, very well designed.
The humbucker P85 is fat and lush while this SA sings like a bell, very clear raise sweet. In my opinion the SA is a no-brainer pickup, if you choose it, purchase it and install it.
Put this in the Neck position on a Strat body paired over singles emg 85 dating the bridge. The SA sounds great, I'm quite pleased. The over are great and it sounds amazing distorted for leads. Very open sounding. Super easy installation. I really like EMG Pickups.
